What is aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a substance that contains essential oils and aromatic plant compounds which help to improve a person`s mood and feelings. The product is also thought to be an alternative medicine, however the debate continues. In French, the product is valued as a medicine with the product being sold with the advice of medical doctors.

How does it work?

Scientists believe that when the essential oils are inhaled, it stimulates the olfactory part of the brain to signal the limbic system (part of the brain responsible for controlling emotions) to secrete chemicals that causes relaxation, calmness and even stimulation. Scientists’ further note application through massage increases comfort and calmness.
